Getting to Corfu...
Corfu island can be reached by air or sea:
Travelling by airplane
The International Airport of Corfu “Ioannis Kapodistrias” is located 3 kilometers south of the centre of the island, in the region Kanoni.
From the mid-April until the middle of October there are numerous charter flights from all major airports in Europe.

Scheduled flights go through Athens International Airport “Eleftherios Venizelos”. Aegean airlines fly at least 3 times a day from Athens to Corfu.
- Aegean airlines has open its bookings for April-May 2011.
- 3 flights from Athens to Corfu on 26/04/2011, 5:30, 8:20, 17:50.
In addition to these flights, a plane departures from Thessalonikis International Aiport “Makedonia”, 2 or 3 times a week to Corfu.
Travelling by boat
There are several ferry services between Corfu and many Italian cities on the Adriatic coast such as Ancona, Brindisi,Trieste and Venice.
Alternatively, you can reach Corfu by ferry-boat, as it is connected with mainland Greece, at two cities Igoumenitsa and Patra:
- From Igoumenitsas port the trip lasts from 1 to 1.5 hour
- From Patras port the trip to Corfu lasts from 7 to 8 hours
